Team Tabb Turns One!

Landon, Logan, Leila

Can you believe it? Those precious babies are a year old today!

It seems like just yesterday that we were keeping Jennifer occupied while she was on bedrest and making work schedules for people to come in and help with the newborns. But alas, the babies have reached the one year milestone!

This Saturday, the family will have a time of celebration...for the QUADS!

Bless you, Team Tabb.

Easter Egg Craft

I am the coordinator of our neighborhood Easter Party. Every year we do a craft, decorate eggs, decorate cookies and hunt for eggs.

Last year, I thought I found the perfect egg coloring activity. It ended up being a HUGE mess!

This year, I am using this activity. I just had my children be my guinea pigs and it worked perfectly!
I think this activity will be a huge hint with children and parents alike.

09 Rewind...

It has been a crazy long time since I have been on here!

I need to start by going back to '09 a bit.

I promised photos of the Carpenter Reunion and never posted those...so here are a few photos from a fabulous Thanksgiving reunion.

First Cousins (3 are missing)

Cousins Kids (all present!)

We had a fantastic time catching up with one another! We hope that it is not another 10 years before we get together again.

The 2nd part of '09 rewind is an update on Miche.

One of the reasons I could not find my way to my blog in December was because Miche Girls were VERY busy! We had our best month ever! Thanks so much to those who sent business our way. We appreciate you!

'09 Rewind, Part 3 concerns my brother.

Yup, hell must've frozen in December, because, after 10 years, my brother came to visit!
I love my brother TONS! I have great memories of him as a kid. However, I do find it hard to hold a conversation with him. He has such an interesting personality and it is a bit hard to connect with him. He is hilarious, though and I find that part of him very interesting! He and my Kaylee seemed to hit it off quite well!

Also, in December '09, we celebrated 3 years of having Kaylee in our family. We had a quiet celebration at our favorite Chinese restaurant.

Well, I think I have brought you up to 2010 now. Can't wait to see what this year has in store!

Thanksgiving 09

I am so excited about Thanksgiving this year.

I am headed to El Paso (no, that's not the exciting part)...

the exciting part is who is waiting there for us. There are 9 grandchildren and 7 will be together this Thanksgiving (yeah, couldn't get the boys to come back...sticks in the mud!).

The last time any of us were together was when my 11 year old son was 1! 10 years...and then only 5 of use were together.

So excited! Pictures will be up when I get back.

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

Passover

The other day, I went to pick Kaylee up at Mother's Day Out. As I walked through the halls, I noticed red paint above certain doors on the doorjambs.

Passover

The scripture reads:

'1 And ETERNAL spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying: 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. 3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying: In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a household; 4 and if the household be too little for a lamb, then shall he and his neighbor next unto his house take one according to the number of the souls; according to every man's eating ye shall make your count for the lamb. 5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year; ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats; 6 and ye shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at dusk.7 And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side-posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it.8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter herbs they shall eat it.9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; its head with its legs and with the inwards thereof.10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.11 And thus shall ye eat it: with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste--it is ETERNAL's Passover. 12 For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night [14th], and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am ETERNAL. 13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. 14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial, and ye shall keep it a feast to the ETERNAL; throughout your generations ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

Amazing!

So, I asked about the activity behind the red paint on the doorjambs. I was told by their pastor that the middle school kids had done this activity. They used tempra paint to place the 'lambs blood' above certain doors. The paint above the doors made a point...as well as the paint that WAS NOT above doors...

Point well taken!

Remember, this is the Easter season.

It IS NOT about the chocolate, eggs or bunny.

It IS about Jesus, a cross, an empty tomb and A MIRACLE!!

Praise God for the miracle of Easter!

Gung Hay Fat Choy

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2009 is the Year of the Ox. The Ox, or the Buffalo sign symbolizes prosperity through fortitude and hard work. Those born under the influence of the Ox or Buffalo are fortunate to be stable and persevering. The typical Ox is a tolerant person with strong character. Not many people could equal the resolution and fearlessness that the Ox exhibits when deciding to accomplish a task. Ox people work hard without complaints at work or at home. They know that they will succeed through hard work and sustained efforts, and do not believe in get-rich-quick schemes

Not to mention, I called my mother and told her the things I wanted for Christmas.

I also found this cute decoration for Thanksgiving (also 20% off).

BOO!

Our neighborhood participates in BOO! every October. This works much like Secret Santa. Basically, a neighbor makes 2 Boo! baskets and chooses 2 neighbor's porches on which to place the treats.

I love all holidays and had a great time making these gifts.

Check them out:

These baskets were made ENTIRELY from the dollar area at Target. We probably spent $8-$10 on each bucket!

Great Fun!
